Etobicoke Creek Watershed Plan Update: Public Review Period

August 1, 2022

Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) is pleased to release the draft Etobicoke Creek Watershed Plan for a 60-day public review period (from August 1 to September 29, 2023).

The development of this draft watershed plan has been a collaborative effort between TRCA, City of Toronto, Region of Peel, City of Mississauga, City of Brampton, Town of Caledon, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, and the Greater Toronto Airports Authority.

Additional First Nations and Indigenous communities, watershed stakeholders, residents, and members of the public have been involved throughout the watershed planning process.

The new watershed plan outlines what needs to be done to protect, enhance, and restore the health of the watershed, and will inform various TRCA and municipal initiatives, including land use and infrastructure planning.

The draft Etobicoke Creek Watershed Plan is now available for review. Please provide your comments by September 29, 2023.

We’re Looking for Your Input! Spring 2022

April 6, 2022

TRCA has completed the Etobicoke Creek watershed characterization and is nearing completion of the future management scenario analysis. This means that we understand what the current conditions are in the watershed, and we can see how those watershed conditions will change under different land use scenarios.

We are at a key stage in the watershed planning process where we would like to share the results of the watershed characterization and future management scenarios stages, and hear from the people who live, work, and play in the watershed.

We want your feedback on the priorities for action to address the key issues facing the watershed, as well as your input on the objectives and indicators for the Etobicoke Creek Watershed Plan.

There are several ways you can get involved:

1. Take our short online survey.

2. Use our interactive mapping tool to explore the features of the watershed and provide your feedback.
