Bramalea SNAP Community Co-Design Group (CCG)

Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) and City of Brampton are looking for applicants to join the Bramalea SNAP Community Co-Design Group (CCG)!

The CCG is a multi-stakeholder group that will support detailed co-planning, co-design, and co-implementation of projects recommended by the Bramalea SNAP Action Plan, including those led by TRCA and City of Brampton, as well as community-based projects.

This work will build on the community engagement undertaken so far as part of the Bramalea SNAP.

The CCG is intended to be inclusive and representative of the Bramalea community – particularly the K, E, and F sections where the SNAP is located.

The CCG aims to bring together diverse perspectives with lived and professional experience in a cross-section of community members and local organizations that can help co-design and support initiatives serving the diverse Bramalea community.

Key member responsibilities and tasks include:

  • Participating in and contributing to CCG meetings (usually 3-4 virtual meetings annually)
  • Reviewing and commenting on documents and project materials
  • Providing advice on project or activity design
  • Sharing ideas for new projects and activities
  • Supporting the delivery of planned projects and activities

Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis throughout the year and will be reviewed based on the following criteria:

  • A commitment to be involved in co-design and co-implementation of neighbourhood improvement, urban renewal, and local climate action
  • An understanding of the Bramalea SNAP Action Plan (Learn more about the plan)
  • A commitment to undertaking the roles and responsibilities of the CCG
  • Must be 16 years or older (Parental consent required for applicants who are less than 18 years)
  • Must be one or more of the of the following:
    • Resident living in Bramalea K, E, or F sections
    • Business owner operating in Bramalea K, E, or F sections
    • A community organization working in Bramalea and/or part of the Bramalea Community Network
    • A commercial partner
